Fun time
A word of warning first: many people like the idea of hiring a sound system, into which they want to plug their MP3 players. We can certainly arrange the system... but we can't guarantee the evening will run that smoothly. With the best intentions in the world, it would be difficult at best to provide the play list that perfectly fits the mood at any particular time during the evening. And then of course, the batteries will run out at the wrong time...
DJ
Better to hand over your MP3 player to the professional DJ and ask him to either use the tracks from your playlist as appropriate, or use the same tracks from his own collection where possible. See? Best of both worlds. Plus, you'll get to play the games that are traditional at Slovenian weddings.
Band
In our experience, the best way to get the joint jumping. We can find just about any um, genre for you - rock 'n' roll, funk, pop, soul... but better may be gypsy or Slovenian traditional: guaranteed to keep you (or your guests, at least) on your feet for most of the night.
Of course, the trouble with bands is that they tend to be made up of musicians - a fickle bunch, if memory serves (yeah, I did that). Consequently, last year's great band may have metamorphosed into this year's two bands. With that in mind, we tend to make a final booking just two to three months in advance, so that we and you know what we're getting.
Musical Variety
If modern popular music combos are not your bag, we can find something a little more refined - say a string quartet, a jazz band or a male voice choir: see the last comment on this page...
Over the coming weeks and months, we will be featuring current bands and musicians here, with a few pictures and MP3 downloads, so you can 'audition' them. |
