Luckily for you, our experience in providing the best of Slovenia for your holidays has given us a unique insight into the cuisine and wine of the country. It helps that one of us is an accomplished cook, while another has passed the Advanced WSET wine course, on her way to a diploma. Actually, it goes even further, in that we personally know many of Slovenia's greatest chefs and wine makers.
Put it this way: if you want to eat and drink well in Slovenia, we're good people to know.
 Some of our hotel wedding venues - Posestvo Pule, Hiša Franko, Kendov Dvorec - feature restaurants run by the country's top chefs, while others are widely recognised as being the best in their regions. We can also arrange your banquet in a top restaurant... or a hearty tourist farm... or as a carniverous barbecue... or as a sun-kissed picnic. Just ask.
Although much Slovenian cuisine is based on rustic, peasant dishes, it is none the worse for that. A good, proper Slovenian slap-up meal is a wonder to behold... but many chefs produce lighter, modern versions that will allow you to dance afterwards! Also note that there is an Italian influence from across the western border, Austrian from the north and Hungarian paprikash to the east: you will have plenty to choose from.
 Slovenian wine making has gone through something of a renaissance over the last fifteen years or so, and now features regularly in the Decanter World Wine Awards. To help you choose appropriate wines for your wedding, we've drunk an awful lot of it... and more importantly (apparently) taken lots of advice from the country's experts.
